Big result here for St. Nicholas FC. Game started very evenly. Both teams had a couple of early chances. Cormac kinnane grazed the crossbar with a long range shot five minutes into the game. After a lot of saints pressure ,the deadlock was broken when On 18 minutes, St. Nicholas pressure paid off when Cathal Hennessey scored with long range shot,On 26 minutes, Rocco Rea scored when A shot from Cormac kinnane rebounded and Rocco slotted it away brilliantly to the corner of the net to make a 2-0. Saints defence was tested a couple of times but brilliant defending from Lee Ronan and Ben Karacsonyi ,
 Just before halftime, Herberstown scored a goal from long range with a great effort leaving Emmet Doyle no chance in goals.

Half time 2.1

St. Nicholas made a few changes at halftime brought on Harry Sheridan who had an impact straight away. Harry gave a lovely pass after beating a couple of players to Cormac kinnane who shot from long range to give the keeper no chance to make a 3-1. On 41 minutes, Dylan Donovan ,was fouled at the edge of the box and up stepped John Ryan to bury the free from 20 yards out. Ryan scored again 5 minutes later , a one-on-one with the keeper from a lovely through ball from Rocco Rea and he kept his composure and finished well to make it 5-1. Herberstown tried hard but St. Nicholas were just too resilient at the back , Darragh Downey and Jack o Sullivan outstanding in the 2nd half defensively. Harry Sheridan and Josh Webster played a lovely one two which lead to another goal for John Ryan who got his hat-trick on 50 minutes to make it 6-1. And finally, in the last minute of the game from a brilliant Daniel gleeson corner, Charlie Considine rose the highest in the box to score with a rocket of a header to make it 7-1. A good three points for St. Nicholas FC.
